If you’re wondering how often you should get NAD+ injections, you’re not alone.
I get this question all the time. And I get it!
People these days are over-worked, over-taxed, overwhelmed, over-caffeinated, over-toxic, and under-rested!
Modern life is hard on our bodies, and demands have never been higher on our systems or our attention spans.
Most people come to me because they need a leg up in their lives.
Their current lifestyle isn’t working for them, and they know it (I work with really smart people!), but they just don’t have the capacity to make big changes like overhauling their diet, stopping caffeine, quitting drinking, or improving sleep hygiene.
That’s exactly where NAD+ injections come in. By administering molecules like NAD+ (along with other nutrients like vitamins or iron), we put your body’s energy system at an advantage.
We can leverage that improvement, and once you’re feeling better, then we can introduce those bigger lifestyle changes. It might seem a bit backward, but when you’re taxed to the max, you need immediate support, like the physiological win that comes from an NAD+ injection.
I usually like to start with weekly treatments for four weeks right at the beginning, regardless of your specific lifestyle or what caused your burnout.
This four-week window is a good baseline to determine if you’re starting to see what I call glimmers.
A glimmer in my mind is a little shift. It’s being able to
speak clearly in a meeting
waking up without pressing snooze
get through your day with out needing a nap, or
finally tackling projects that’ve been taunting you on the to-do list for months (like organizing the garage or decluttering the closet).
If I don’t hear reports of glimmers by that fourth treatment, I’ll wonder if we’re supporting the right body system. If there are no glimmers, we might change tactics and support the gut, liver, or lymphatic system instead, as examples.
But if there are glimmers, then we expect them to keep coming. Eventually, they become sparkles, and life is just better and easier.
Some of the benefits of NAD+ are rather intangible, like anti-aging and longevity. We’ll never really know if those were affected right away. So, more concretely, we’re looking for improvements you can actually feel:
Better physical energy and vitality
More endurance and resilience to stress
Improved brain function (focus, concentration, and memory)
Sharper creative thinking and problem-solving
To give you even more improvement in these areas, I alwaysinclude B12 and a B-Complex in the injectionat no added cost. It’s just another way to make sure you’re getting the most out of your treatment.
Once we finish that initial month, my most common approach is moving to every two weeks for two months. From there, depending on how you’re doing, how you respond, and what you notice, we can move to a monthly schedule.
How do we know it’s time to decrease the frequency?
We make that shift when you’re feeling like you’ve regained a sense of being in charge of your day, both physically and mentally.
I’ve got a great example of this transition. I work with a 65-year-old woman who is close to retiring but still running a massive and famous non-profit. She was losing her words in meetings and forgetting important things on her calendar.
After three months on her treatment protocol, she reported feeling like she was 30 again.
She felt like he was doing a much better job handling stress and the pressure of her day-to-day tasks and expectations.
Once you’ve hit that maintenance phase, the long-term goal is totally up to you.
Health is always optional, but most people I work with choose health as best they can, so they can become WELLNESS PRONE.
Most of my patients continue to maintain their monthly treatments simply because they feel so darn good on them.
They provide the energy, stamina, and mobility you need so you can keep up with life's demands without your health suffering anymore.
